Sherwood Conservatives AGM 2104

At our AGM last night Mary Brown was elected as the new Chairman of Sherwood Conservatives, to lead us in to the General election campaign. Thanks to outgoing Chairman Trevor Peat and all of the retiring officers for their work over the last 12 months.

Mary has a lot of experience in leadership roles both in politics and in the charitable sector, and was Campaign Manager for Mark Spencer's 2010 Election Success. This time around Mary will run the Association and work with our Campaigning Team, lead by Ben Bradley, to make sure we return Mark to his seat next year!

Long time servant of the Association Joe Lonergan was selected as President, which is a well deserved honour.

Here you can see Mary receiving her key to the office from outgoing Chairman Trevor, along with our guest speaker Emma McClarkin MEP, who spoke passionately about her role fighting for Britain in Brussels to get us the best deal possible. Thanks to Emma for coming along and entertaining us!
